Project: Ironman England Course in Staffordshire

Sporting races are incredibly popular and testing your endurance takes skill and commitment. NP Events has worked on several triathlon events around the UK to help design and implement elements of their courses. One of those that we worked on in 2019 was IRONMAN England where we helped to install starting ramps for the competition.

What and Where

The IRONMAN England 70.3 triathlon took place in Staffordshire on June 9 2019. The race consisted of a 1.2 mile long swim through the Chasewater Reservoir, 56 mile bike course, as well as a 13.1 mile run.

Around 2,600 athletes took part that day. IRONMAN races are held around the World including North America, South America, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and Oceania.

Our Work

At NP Events we attended the event to plan and install a floating pontoon at the start of the race to allow access to the reservoir. The structure that we put into place had to extend out from the point of access on the land at the same level and we achieved this and more.
